A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Sunday morning 24 miles from Inyokern, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:59 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 mile.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 29 miles from Ridgecrest, 60 miles from California City and 61 miles from Porterville.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
