Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near San Juan Bautista, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Monday evening six miles from San Juan Bautista, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:31 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was six miles from Hollister, 10 miles from Prunedale and 11 miles from Salinas.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
