7-year-old girl abducted from outside Antioch home; Amber Alert issued

A 7-year-old girl was abducted Friday evening from in front of her Bay Area home by an unknown man who may be armed, spurring authorities to issue an Amber Alert across Northern California.

The girl, identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as Natalie Calvo, is about 3 feet tall and weighs 54 pounds. She is Asian and has black hair and brown eyes.

Natalie was last seen wearing a neon pink scarf and jacket, jeans-style gray leggings and brown boots. Her hair was in a ponytail.

The Contra Costa Times reported that the 7-year-old was abducted from outside her home in the East Bay Area city of Antioch about 6:45 p.m. The suspect was described as an Asian man between the ages of 40 and 50, possibly armed with a long black gun.

The suspect was last seen driving a “boxy” 1990s-model gold Honda away from the child’s home in the 3800 block of Hummingbird Drive.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children asks anyone with information to call the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.
