Amber Alert issued for 3 children abducted from San Pablo

An Amber alert was issued Monday night for three children abducted in San Pablo after their father was found fatally shot in the backyard of his home, police said. 

The three children lived with the victim at the home, and their mother, who police believed has taken the children, did not, San Pablo police said. 

The suspect was identified by police as Alicia Ortez, 35, who is described as Latina, 5 feet 5 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The San Pablo Police Department said the three children were taken Sunday from the Bay Area city.

The first child, Hugo Anguiano, is described as a 12-year-old Latino. The second child, Merari Anguiano, is described as a 6-year-old Latina.

The third child, Jenh Anguiano, is described as a 2-year-old Latino.
