A man found dead near the Venice boardwalk this week does not appear to have been the victim of foul play, authorities said Thursday morning.

The man’s body was found next to a bathroom at about 6 p.m. Wednesday near the boardwalk and Breeze Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The circumstances of the man’s death were initially unclear, but LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman and the Los Angeles County coroner’s office both said Thursday morning that the death did not appear to be a homicide.
