1 dead, 2 injured in car crash that snarls 91 Freeway

All eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway in Cerritos were blocked Tuesday night after an accident left one person dead and at least two others injured, fire officials said.

The accident was reported around 9 p.m. near Pioneer Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol said. The agency declared a SigAlert about 9:45 p.m. and said it was expected to last about 90 minutes.

One person was killed and two others were injured and being treated by paramedics, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The agency said all lanes were blocked for rescue crews.
