Crime alerts for Lincoln Heights and 15 other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 16 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Eleven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Lincoln Heights (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 2.2 over the last three months.
Mid-City (L) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 30 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 19.1 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for July 11–July 17, the most recent seven days for which data are available. This post was automatically created by an algorithm written by the authors.
