A CSUN student from Saudi Arabia who disappeared in Riverside County on Sept. 18 remains missing, Los Angeles police said Saturday.

Abdullah Abdullatif Alkadi, 23, a full-time electrical engineering student at Cal State Northridge, was last seen about noon on Sept. 18 at his home in the 9900 block of Reseda Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Ahmed Alkadi, the student’s older brother, said his sibling sold his car on Sept. 17. Police said the buyer of the vehicle was not linked to the student’s disappearance.

The missing man’s cellphone was traced to Beaumont, a city in northwestern Riverside County, but was then deactivated. Ahmed Alkadi said he knew of no ties to his brother in that area.

Ahmed Alkadi said last week that the family had called friends and relatives, to no avail. “We have been in misery,” Ahmed Alkadi said. “We have tried everything.… We are so worried about him.”

Police described Alkadi as being of Middle Eastern descent, 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and beige shorts.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
