Instead of surrendering, Anguiano, 25, bolted from officers and took to the roof. From there, he began jumping from rooftop to rooftop.

The chase, which began around 1:40 a.m., lasted about 45 minutes, according to Lt. Ryan Schatz of the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division.

"We set up a perimeter around the area where he lived and in the direction he seemed to be running in," Schatz said. "No one was injured."

The suspect also had a warrant out for his arrest for violating parole. He has been booked, but no bail has been set due to the violation.
