Earthquake: Magnitude 3.4 quake strikes near Cobb, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Saturday morning two miles from the town of Cobb in Northern California’s Lake County wine country, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:05 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.2 mile.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 12 miles from Clearlake, Calif., 14 miles from Healdsburg, Calif., 17 miles from Windsor, Calif. and 68 miles from Sacramento.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
