Share

An all-night argument among family in Littlerock ended with one man fatally shot and a woman wounded, authorities said Thursday.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said they are looking for the gunman, a male relative of the two victims who were found in a home in the 37500 block of 82nd Street East just after 12 a.m. Thursday, according to KTLA.

“Apparently this argument had gone on for several hours and then it resulted in this violence,” Lt. Mike Rosson told KTLA.

The detective said that the argument was over something stolen or something missing, which eventually boiled over into the shooting.

Police know the man’s name, but declined to release his identity.

It was the first of two shootings Thursday in the rural community on the edge of the Angeles National Forest.

About five miles away from the earlier slaying, a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man in the 36600 block of 117th Street East about 7:30 a.m. The deputy was uninjured and no other details were immediately available. It was not clear if the shooting was related to the earlier incident.
