A 25-year-old San Diego man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to biting off another man’s fingertip during a fight at the Beyonce-Jay Z concert at the Rose Bowl on Saturday.

Roberto Alcaraz Garnica faces one felony count each of battery with serious bodily injury and mayhem, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

He is also charged with misdemeanor battery, and his bail was set at $50,000.

Prosecutors say Garnica pushed a woman into seats at the concert Saturday in Pasadena, prompting her husband to confront him. Garnica then allegedly pushed the woman’s husband, and a fight broke out.

At some point during the fight, prosecutors said he completely bit off the tip of the man’s left index finger.

If convicted of the charges, Garnica faces eight years in prison.

An estimated 55,000 fans packed the Rose Bowl for the first of two performances over the weekend.
