A producer of the popular 1990s television show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” was found dead in Hermosa Beach earlier this week.

The body of Jeffrey Ian Pollack, also the writer-director of “Above the Rim” and director of “Booty Call,” was found Monday morning in the Greenbelt jogging area, according to the Associated Press.

Lt. Tom Thompson of the Hermosa Beach Police Department told The Times that a woman rushed into the station at 6:23 a.m. and said a man was down in the Greenbelt area near 30th Street.

Thompson said he was the first on scene and that Pollack was non-responsive when he arrived. Soon after, paramedics pronounced him dead, he said.

Pollack, 54, lived in Manhattan Beach and was wearing a jogging outfit when he was found, police said. Thompson said there was no indication of foul play.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the cause of Pollack’s death has not yet been determined.
