CHP is investigating a crash involving a Hawthorne police officer
The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash Wednesday morning involving a Hawthorne police officer.
A few minutes before 2 a.m. a Hawthorne police cruiser and a Honda sedan collided in Hawthorne, ejecting the female driver of the Honda. The driver was rushed to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Hawthorne police officials.
KTLA-TV reported the police officer’s injuries appeared to be less severe than the other driver’s.
One block of West El Segundo Boulevard in front of the Hawthorne DMV office between Doty and Kornblum avenues has been closed for an undetermined amount of time.
