Few details about the shooting were released, and it was unclear how many officers were involved. Authorities said no officers were injured in the shooting, which was reported in an unincorporated area of East Hemet.
The incident occurred about 2 a.m. around Sharose Drive and Girard Street, according to Deputy Armando Munoz, a spokesman for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
