Woman killed in hit-and-run in North Hollywood
A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in North Hollywood, police said.
The incident occurred about 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of Lankershim Boulevard when a white Mercedes-Benz struck a 48-year-old woman pushing a shopping cart, according to a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, the statement said.
