Driver sought in fatal hit-and-run that dragged victim for several blocks in South L.A.

Police were initially unsure whether the victim was a male or female.

Police are searching for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run in South Los Angeles early Thursday in which the victim was dragged for several blocks, according to authorities.

The victim, who was not identified, was found around 12:50 a.m. near 84th Place and Central Avenue and pronounced dead at the scene, Los Angeles police officers said.
