Hollywood Boulevard closed as LAPD investigates suspicious package
Hollywood Boulevard was shut down Monday afternoon as Los Angeles police investigated a suspicious package found near a historic hotel, officials said.
The package appears to be a box, which was left about 3:45 p.m. near the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in the 7000 block of Hollywood Boulevard, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said no threats were associated with the incident.
Hollywood Boulevard near Sycamore Avenue remains shut down as a bomb squad investigates the package.
Police ordered some tenants to evacuate buildings in area.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., LAPD said that the package was not threat and that the incident was cleared.
