Justin Bieber arrest: ‘They finally caught him!’ ex-NFL neighbor says

Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, who has publicly criticized his Calabasas neighbor Justin Bieber, took to Twitter to celebrate the pop star’s arrest in Miami.

“They finally caught HIM! Glad no one was hurt, no kids in the street. Everyone grows up at some point. Hopefully he learns from it,” Johnson tweeted Thursday.

Bieber was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence after police say he drag raced on a Miami Beach street and failed a sobriety test.

He was charged with resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired license, according to the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department website.

Last May, Johnson confronted Bieber after he saw the singer’s Ferrari tear past his home, where his 3-year-old daughter was playing in an electric car in the driveway. Johnson took his daughter inside and then drove to Bieber’s nearby home, where he saw Bieber backing the Ferrari into a garage.

When Johnson arrived at Bieber’s home, he reached out his arm to prevent the garage door from closing and confronted Bieber, who was in the driver’s seat, according to police reports.

Bieber has had several run-ins with his Calabasas neighbors. Most recently, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies served a felony search warrant at the pop star’s home looking for evidence that he may have tossed eggs at a neighbor’s home, apparently causing $20,000 in damage.

During the search, a substance suspected to be Ecstasy or the synthetic drug Molly was found “in plain view of the deputies,” sheriff’s officials said. Bieber’s friend Xavier Dominique Smith, 20 -- also known as Lil’ Za -- was arrested in connection with the discovery.

Bieber has not been charged in connection with the egging.

Bieber has never had a California driver’s license and hasn’t had a valid license anywhere in at least six months, according to state Department of Motor Vehicles records and Florida police.

In California, Bieber applied for a license on May 7, 2012, and had a year to complete the necessary requirements but he never did, according to the DMV. In July of that year, he was cited and eventually convicted of driving at an unsafe speed.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department investigated Bieber in a possible hit-and-run outside the Laugh Factory in Hollywood in June, where a paparazzo accused the singer of hitting him with his car. No charges were filed.

In August, Bieber was cited by a sheriff’s deputy for running a stop sign and driving without a license. A friend drove the car the rest of the way home, The Times reported.
