The security officer called Long Beach police and Hunt was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder.
Authorities believe that Hunt stabbed and killed 22-year-old Naquia Catching in their Hawthorne apartment Sept. 26. Hunt’s bail has been set at $2 million.
Catching was discovered by her mother hours after a “strange” phone call from Hunt. Hunt lived at the apartment with Catching, her mother and the 9-year-old daughter the two shared.
Hunt fled after the stabbing, and authorities had asked for the public’s help in locating him.
