Man arrested in connection with body found in Yorba Linda

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman whose body was found in an upscale Yorba Linda neighborhood Tuesday, officials said.

The name of the man, a Yorba Linda resident, has not been released as investigators continue to interview witnesses, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock.

The body was discovered about 5:40 a.m. by several bicyclists near Deodar Drive and Live Oak Lane in Yorba Linda, Hallock said.

Investigators have not identified the woman, and her relationship with the suspect is unclear, he said. During the course of the investigation, officials received information that led them to the suspect, he said.

Investigators believe it was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community, he said.

No additional details were available and the investigation is ongoing.
