Man killed after car crashes into bus stop in North Hills
A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a bus stop in North Hills, officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 10:42 a.m. in the 8700 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, said Cody Weireter, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
A woman who was also at the bus stop was injured and taken to a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle suffered unknown injuries and was also transported to a hospital.
Los Angeles police shut down the intersection of Sepulveda and Parthenia Street while they investigated the crash.
The car apparently collided with another vehicle at Sepulveda and Parthenia Street. The driver of the car then crashed into the bus stop, said Det. Meghan Aguilar of the Los Angeles Police Department.
