Pedestrian shot and killed by assailant in car in Florence-Firestone area, authorities say
A man was fatally shot early Wednesday morning while walking on the street in the Florence-Firestone area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was walking in the 1900 block of Firestone Boulevard around 1:40 a.m. when another man inside a dark vehicle opened fire before fleeing, according to sheriffs. Deputies took the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators are unclear about the motive for the attack.
