Man questioned in death of woman who fell out of car on freeway

Authorities are questioning a man who was allegedly driving a car on the 210 Freeway when a female passenger fell out, was struck by multiple vehicles and died.

Los Angeles police said they believe the woman may have been physically abused the night before her death.

Ricardo “Rick” Jimenez, 26, turned himself in to the Glendale Police Department on Saturday, Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon said in a statement. Police had released a photo of Jimenez and asked for the public's help in finding him.

Maria Josefina "Josie" Jimenez, 22, was killed Thursday after she fell out of the passenger door of the vehicle allegedly driven by Ricardo Jimenez, police said.
