Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the Duarte area early Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
About 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a person down in the 2000 block of Broderick Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the department said. His identity was not immediately released.
