Two men who attempted to rob a marijuana dispensary in Walnut Park on Tuesday night are in critical condition after the business owner pulled out a gun and shot them, authorities said.
Just before 11 p.m., the men walked into the dispensary in the 2400 block of Florence Avenue and at least one of them had a gun, said Sgt. Angela Kepley of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Century station.
The owner told KCBS-TV that he saw the men with assault rifles on a security camera and armed himself.
The man was uninjured and the two would-be robbers are listed in critical condition, Kepley said. The men will be taken into custody if they’re released from the hospital, she said. The investigation is ongoing.
