Missing Cal State L.A. student is found safe, wanted 'some alone time'

A missing Cal State Los Angeles student was found Monday in Montebello, school officials said.

Adilene Munguia, 19, was reported missing Saturday by her family after she was last seen Thursday afternoon at Cal State L.A. boarding a Metro bus heading toward Boyle Heights.

“There are no signs of foul play,” Cal State L.A. spokesman Paul Browning said, adding that Munguia "seems to be OK.”

Munguia did not contact anyone after leaving the campus and shut off her electronic communication devices, Browning said.

“She wanted some alone time," he said.
