Obama visits Jay Leno; motorists get stuck in motorcade traffic
The “Obama jam” was back in Southern California Tuesday as President Obama visits “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in Burbank and stays overnight in Los Angeles.
The presidential motorcade affected traffic in parts of the San Fernando Valley, especially along Hollywood Way, Olive Avenue and Burbank Boulevard.
On social media people posted photos of the motorcade -- and did vented some steam about the traffic delays:

On Wednesday morning, the LAPD suggests drivers avoid these areas between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.:
- Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue
- Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue
- Canoga Avenue and Burbank Boulevard
This marked Obama’s sixth appearance on the show, third as president.
Obama has been on a national tour promoting a new “grand bargain” on the economy that would cut corporate tax rates while also closing loopholes. Under the plan, new revenue would then allow more money for public infrastructure projects to create middle-class jobs.
Obama is scheduled to then visit Marines at Camp Pendleton on Wednesday.
