Oil seeping from ground closes residential street in Wilmington
A residential street in Wilmington near Long Beach was closed for several hours Tuesday morning after oil was discovered seeping out of the ground, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Oil was discovered on the surface around 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Neptune Avenue, between M and L streets, police said.
Hours later, authorities did not know how much oil had seeped out from the ground and were trying to track the source of the spill.
No other information was immediately available.
