A man was shot to death inside his truck at an intersection in Pacoima early Thursday, police said.

Officers received a call about a Latino man in his 40s slumped over the steering wheel of a truck with the engine still running at the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Vaughn Street before 5:30 a.m., said LAPD Sgt. Thomas Wunsch.

Responding officers discovered gunshots had struck the man, who was not immediately identified, and his truck several times, shattering the rear window, Wunsch said. Investigators have shut down the intersection and are diverting traffic around the area while they comb the crime scene for evidence.
