Pedestrian struck, killed in Indio
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Thursday evening at an Indio intersection, fire officials said.
The accident occurred about 6:25 p.m. at Clinton Street and Avenue 46, said Jennifer Fuhrman, spokeswoman for the Riverside County Fire Department.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, Fuhrman said.
The gender and age of the victim was not immediately available, nor was any information on the driver.
