Fullerton police said Sunday they are continuing to investigate the death of a pedestrian who was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing a street.

The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Valencia Drive and South Magnolia Avenue, police said. The victim was described as a man in his late teens or early 20s, said Sgt. Steve Williams of the Fullerton Police Department.

The unidentified driver of the pickup truck has not been arrested, police said.

The name of the victim was being withheld because his family may not have been notified of his death, Williams said. The investigation is continuing.

“They look at all things. Even if a pedestrian is crossing against traffic there must be due regard,” he said.
