Man allegedly records teen boy changing in East L.A. park
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they say used an electronic device to photograph a teenage boy as he undressed at City Terrace Park.
The teen was changing his clothing in the park bathroom in the 1100 block of North Hazard Avenue at 12:15 p.m. June 4 when he spotted the man recording or taking photographs of him with a electronic device similar in shape to an iPod, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The man then exited the restroom and left the park in a gold mid-2000s Toyota Camry.
He was described as Latino, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and between 25 and 35 years old. He was wearing prescription glasses, a blue shirt, gray shorts and was carrying a blue backpack with a red stripe.
Anyone with details about the man is urged to contact Det. Art Flores at (562) 254-8488. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
