Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 9-year-old boy who they believe was accidentally shot Saturday by his 14-year-old brother in Perris, police said.
About noon, deputies responded to a report of an accidental shooting at a home in the 140 block of Metz Road, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Patty Stoyer.
She said paramedics pronounced the 9-year-old dead at the scene.
