A man wanted in Las Vegas on suspicion of attempted murder was arrested Monday morning in the South Los Angeles area following a police chase.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the chase began shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Hauser and Venice boulevards when undercover officers spotted the man driving a black Mercedes-Benz.

During the chase, the Mercedes struck another vehicle, which fled from the scene, authorities said. The Mercedes eventually lost a front right tire as it continued east on Jefferson Boulevard.
