Got a burning question for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti?

Instead of flagging him down at a news conference or trying to buttonhole him in between meetings, Angelenos will have a chance Monday to grill him digitally.

Garcetti will field questions in real time via Facebook, one of several mayors who are doing online Q & As as part of an event hosted by The Atlantic magazine. The three-day CityLab conference, held in Los Angeles, aims to bring together mayors, urban experts and others to discuss innovative solutions for city problems.

The Los Angeles mayor has made headlines for plugging a minimum wage increase for L.A. and pledging to end veteran homelessness. He has also sought to eliminate a business tax loathed by many companies, possibly through a ballot measure. Garcetti will speak at the event Monday about “Reinventing City Hall.”

Mayors from Pittsburgh, Flint, Miami Beach and Athens -- Greece, not Ohio -- will also take part in Facebook Q & As during the event. To submit questions for Garcetti, visit www.facebook.com/ericgarcetti around 10:15 a.m. Monday.
