Reader photo: A nice catch

Gulp! Kristina Krause caught this Western Scrub-Jay snacking on a sunflower seed in her Glendale backyard while taking a break from shooting flowers.

“The neighborhood jays are so fearless I was only a few feet away when I took this shot,” she said.

Krause took the photo on May 10 with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i.
