A 51-year-old Riverside County man who was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy has been arrested after leading police on a pursuit and crashing in a Sacramento neighborhood, police said Tuesday.

A CHP officer spotted Randy Morasch’s rented vehicle about 10 a.m. Monday in Sacramento and tried to stop him, but he continued driving, according to a Riverside Police Department statement. He eventually crashed the vehicle and was taken into custody.

A $500,000 arrest warrant had been issued for Morasch, who was wanted in connection with assaulting the teenager on June 6 in Anza, police said.

He was driving a pickup when he chased the teenage boy, who was on a dirt bike, and then fled, police said.

The teenager told Hemet deputies that Morasch was his employer and he had sexually assaulted him, according to the department.

Days later, investigators searched Morasch’s home at Secret Falls Road in Aguanga, Calif., where they reportedly found evidence supporting the victim’s allegations, the department statement said.
