Man is shot to death in South Gate while sitting in his van
A 42-year-old Bellflower man was shot and killed while sitting in his van early Sunday evening, authorities said.
Ricardo Venegas died on the sidewalk outside of his van in the 6000 block of Main Street in South Gate, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it was called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.
There was no immediate word on suspects, but homicide detectives were on scene investigating.
