Victim in South L.A. shooting was killed in front of daughter
A woman who was shot to death Tuesday night was killed in front of her daughter, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Minutes before 11 p.m., officials said, a man and a woman in the 10900 block of South Hobart Boulevard in Westmont were gunned down.
The woman was accompanied by her 2-year-old daughter and a female friend, KTLA reported.
The woman, who officials said was in her late 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was being withheld until her family could be notified, the county coroner said.
The other victim was taken to a hospital, officials said. His condition was not immediately known.
Investigators said they did not immediately have a motive for the shooting.
