Man, woman wounded in South L.A. car-to-car shooting
Los Angeles police on Wednesday night were investigating a car-to-car shooting that left a woman and a man wounded.
The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. at South Vermont Avenue and West Manchester Boulevard in Vermont Knolls, said LAPD Det. Dean Vinluan.

An earlier version of this post said the woman wounded in the shooting had died. She was listed in critical condition.

Two cars traveling south on South Vermont Avenue pulled up next to each other and a person inside one of the vehicles fired at two people, Vinluan said.
A man in his mid-30s was wounded, as was a woman, who was listed in critical condition. She appeared to be 17 or 18 years old.
It is unknown whether the victims knew the gunman or if the incident is gang-related.
