Marilyn Hartman, who was ordered to serve 24 months’ probation after pleading no contest to stowing away on an airplane, has again been arrested at LAX.

A woman who was rearrested at Los Angeles International Airport last week on suspicion of violating a stay-away order issued after she stowed away on a Southwest jet has been charged with violating her probation, officials said.

A hearing for Marilyn Hartman, 62, was continued to Wednesday, on the request of her public defender who wanted a “more detailed mental health exam performed,” according to city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan.

She was arrested Thursday at LAX, where police said she had wandered for an hour through three different terminals without purchasing a ticket -- a violation of her probation. Her bail was set Monday at $30,000.

Hartman was sentenced to 24 months’ probation in connection with an earlier incident in which she stowed away on a Southwest flight to Los Angeles.

She had also agreed to stay away from LAX unless she had a valid ticket to fly.

On Thursday, police said they were monitoring Hartman and had distributed fliers with her information, believing she would return again.

Hartman reportedly boarded a FlyAway bus from Union Station in downtown L.A. and stopped at the airport.

Airport police Chief Patrick Gannon told the Los Angeles Times that Hartman had no intention of purchasing a ticket, even though she had enough money to do so. She was eventually taken into custody.

Hartman made headlines last week when she bypassed two boarding pass checkpoints at Mineta San Jose International Airport and boarded the Southwest flight.

Airport police arrested Hartman on suspicion of trespassing after they discovered that she had deboarded the plane at LAX without a ticket.
