Los Angeles SWAT officers entered a house Sunday morning in Boyle Heights where gunmen were believed to be holed up and found no one inside, authorities said.
The officers entered the house in the 2500 block of Fairmount Street at 11:17 a.m. only to find it empty, police said.
Police had surrounded the home after a man allegedly pointed a handgun at someone during a party and then barricaded himself inside, authorities said.
Officers received a call about an “assault with a deadly weapon” at 3 a.m. and responded to the scene, police said.
They were told at least three assailants had left the party after a fight and then came back with guns in the early morning, according to a watch commander at the Hollenbeck Station.
