Triple-fatality car crash reported in San Bernardino
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino City Fire Department investigators were at the scene late Thursday of a triple-fatality car crash.
A fourth victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Few details were available on the single-automobile wreck, which occurred near East 5th Street east of Cooley Street.
The Press-Enterprise reported that the car rolled over near a bridge and plunged 20 feet into a flood control channel.
“The car was on fire and there was screaming in there,” a witness, a woman who identified herself only as Rose, told the newspaper.
