Westbound lanes of 210 Freeway reopened after deadly collision
All lanes of the westbound 210 Freeway in Azusa have reopened after a wrong-way driver struck another vehicle, killing one person and fleeing the scene early Saturday, officials said.
The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, said California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi. The suspected wrong-way driver was later apprehended by Azusa police.
Authorities first received reports of a wrong-way vehicle at 3:09 a.m., said Polizzi. Reports of the collision came in three minutes later.
