A woman who was killed when she was ejected from her car in a South Los Angeles crash this weekend was identified Sunday as a 48-year-old San Pedro resident.
A Los Angeles County coroner's official said the victim was Olga Herrarte.
Herrarte was killed in the 10:45 p.m. crash on Saturday in Athens, an unincorporated neighborhood of South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was a passenger in a 1982 Buick Regal when the car's driver lost control and struck several vehicles parked on 120th Street, just east of Budlong Avenue, the CHP said in a news release.
Herrarte was thrown from the car and then run over, the CHP said. The driver got out of the vehicle and ran from the scene northbound along Budlong Avenue, the news release said. The agency is continuing to investigate.
