Jeanie Choe enjoys spending most of her weekends at the beach, soaking up the California sun and hanging out by the shore. Whenever a moment catches her eye, she snaps a photo with her phone -- a hobby she considers to be her "happy place."
One afternoon, as she was walking along the Santa Monica Pier, it was a sound -- not a sight -- that caught her interest. Alerted by the screams of roller coaster riders, she turned toward the ride and composed an image.
"I am not sure if people are screaming out their worries or happiness, but either way they always look so satisfied exiting the ride," she said.
Choe used a Samsung Galaxy S5 to make the image on June 8, 2014.
