George "Sparky" Anderson | 1969

Sparky Anderson holds up his new jersey upon being named manager of the Cincinnati Reds. His Reds won championships in 1975 and '76 as one of the dominant teams of the era. Nearly a decade later, his Detroit Tigers won the 1984 World Series. He was inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame in 2000. See full story Mark Treitel / The Cincinnati Enquirer
