Samuel Genensky, 1927 - 2009

Samuel Genensky uses binoculars to admire works at the Norton Simon Museum. In high school, the near-blind Genensky tinkered with a pair of World War I-era binoculars to essentially create a bifocal system that allowed him to read the blackboard in the distance as well as the book on his desk.
