Two main GOP gubernatorial candidates agree to debate
Republican gubernatorial candidates Neel Kashkari and Tim Donnelly will debate May 15 in Anaheim, according to radio station KFI-AM (640).
Kashkari appeared on the station’s “John and Ken” show Tuesday afternoon and agreed to attend the 90-minute debate. Donnelly has also agreed to participate, the hosts said, adding that they had also invited incumbent Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat.
The chances of the governor participating are slim. A political spokesman for Brown said he was unaware of any debate invitation. Attempts to reach Donnelly were unsuccessful.
The event will take place at 5 p.m. May 15 at the Ayres Hotel. The radio hosts -- John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou -- will moderate.
